Hunting

Imagine walking up to a brace of rock solid pointing dogs, preparing for the heart racing flush of Bobwhite Quail, Ringneck Pheasant, or Chukar Partridge. A  quick retrieve to hand by our Labs, and a congratulatory handshake follows…this is the stuff of memories going back to your youth, or for many of our customers, their first wingshooting experience. Either way, you’re hooked!

We also offer pass-shooting for pheasants from a 10 station field…a great outing for corporate groups and individuals from 10 to 20 persons.

All of our guided hunts include guide, dogs, guide fees, soft drinks, snacks, and free bird cleaning. Tips are appreciated, but not necessary.

We have a lighted skeet and trap field to warm up on  before hunts, and to introduce new shooters to safe gun handling. A waiver of liability must be signed by each hunter prior to hunt. We accept cash or check only for payment. A  40% deposit is required a minimum of  7 business days prior to any hunt totaling  $400.00 or more. Deposits can be applied to future hunts, in the event of inclement weather or sickness. Any refund of deposits will take place within 30 calendar days of cancelled hunts.

Schedule priority is first given to members, then non-members. This applies also to re-scheduling due to inclement weather. Please consult price list for member and non-member rates. Memberships are due by July 31, 2010. Though the preserve season is open in TN year-round, we generally start hunting and dog training October 1, and wrap up the season by the end of April. There is no hunting license required to hunt released  upland birds on a preserve in TN. Hunter orange is required in the form of a hat or vest. There is no bag limit for released birds, so you can harvest as many as you wish! There is no plug required in your gun for released birds either. The only exception to this rule, is our annual dove shoot, which requires a three shell maximum in the gun, and a plugged magazine.
